A few questions about selling…

Hi There, I have just setup an account and have a few questions before
I setup my product.

1. I noticed when i setup the product I have to set a commision level
for my affiliates. Does this mean each affiliate will have the same
commision or can I specify each affiliate to have a different
commission level on the same product.

2. Some times i will want to sell the product direct without an
affiliate. Is this possible?

3. Will you pass on the buyer details to me, I mainly need thier name
and email address.

Thanks

Hello David,

thanks for contacting us!

Let me answer your questions one by one.

1) Yes, in product adding process you need to setup default commission
level for your affiliates. Any person who starts to promote your
products will be paid by that commission percentage value. However, if
you want to reward some of your affiliates for, let’s say, their very
successful promotion campaign, then you can specify custom affiliate
commission percentage value to them. This can be done in “For Merchant”
-> “My Affiliates” page. There you will be able not only to set custom
commission rates to your affiliates, but also approve/ban affiliates,
track their promotion statistics or contact them if you have any
question to them or just want to tell them about update of your product.

2) Of course you will be able to do that. Once you add a product you
will get codes of buy buttons. Just copy one of them and put it into
your product’s website. You will need to pay commissions only for such
purchases which were made by customers who came through affiliate links.
You won’t need to pay any commission for all other sales (if, let’s say,
a person came directly to your website and ordered your product).

3) All sales information will be stored in “Reports” -> “Transactions”
section. There you will be able to find out buyer names, emails,
addresses, transaction dates, affiliate names (if they referred some
transactions) and so on. What is more, after each sale you will get
purchase notification message to your email address. In the message
there will be buyer’s name and email address.

I hope I explained everything clearly enough.
If you have any other question, just let me know!

Payment Method (from PayPal to Moneybookers)

What if Merchant does not support Moneybookers and i have only
Moneybookers account? Will i be able to receive payments even then? or
not? Thanks! Mudassir

Hello Syed,

thanks for contacting us!

Yes, you will be able to receive affiliate commissions.
We will simply ask merchants to send your commissions to our company
account and then we will send the payment via Moneybookers to your account.
Just keep in mind that your final amount of commission will be reduced
~6-8% due to high transfer from PayPal to Moneybookers fees.

So you can start promoting products and we will help you to recieve
affiliate commissions.

If you have any other question, just let me know!

Different size affiliate commissions?

Hello

I recently made a sale for this product. The product this merchant sells is worth 49.97, my last sale for this product netted $1.24. how is this possible if the payout = 50% ?

Thanks

Hi Aaron,

We’ve just checked your account and noticed that you have sold a paper-back version of that ebook, while promoting the digital one. You see, the digital version of that e-book is listed on the Marketplace and you started promoting it, however, the customer ordered not your promoted product, but the other one (material version of the product). Merchant pays 50% commissions for making a sale for a digital product, while it pays only 5% for referring a sale for his material version of that product.

So you promoted one product, but the customer bought another. That’s why you see only $1.24 for your profits. We credit affiliates for all sales – no matter if they promote that certain product or not.
I hope this answers all your questions. In case you have any other questions or just anything else, please, let me know.

Sincerely,

How to pay affiliates?

I tried to pay the four people again with mass payment and it sent me back to the same page showing
I did not pay them. I didn’t want to keep trying to pay it out just in case it would possibly over
charge me.

Talk soon,
Michael

Hi Michael,

There might be a few reasons why you were not able to pay some of your affiliates via Mass Pay:
a) they might be accepting payments via in other currencies than USD (for example EUR). In that case Paypal tries to take the money from your EUR account balance. If you don’t have any EUR on your Paypal account, then it won’t be able to pay your affiliate. In order to fix this, simply open a EUR or GBP account on Paypal and add enough funds for a mass payment.
b) affiliates might be accepting the payments via i.e. Moneybookers. Mass Payment feature works for those affiliates who use Paypal to accept payments.

In order to complete the payments for these 4 affiliates, simply use a simple Pay button and then see if they use Paypal or Moneybookers to accept payments, then use the appropriate payment method to make a payment.

Please, try again and let me know. If you have any difficulties paying your affiliates, just let me know and I will personally help you out.

How to detect suspicious affiliate activity

What should I be looking for as to suspicious activity with a affiliate?

Thanks,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,

We do our best to detect such scammers ourselves, so you don’t have to worry about it. Anyway, you can always be checking your affiliate’s sales on the account and check for such things like:
1) Visitor/sale ratio – if there are something like 10 visitors and 3 sales (very huge conversion rate), the affiliate could be a potential scammer
2) Bouncing e-mails: if you send an e-mail to your customer and get – no such account (e-mail bounces back), there is a huge change that affiliate is a scammer
3) Check for e-mail patterns: if customers name is something like John Smith, but the e-mail is completely different, i.e. doews2344@gmail.com (some non-sense, etc.), there is a high chance that there is no such e-mail and that a sale was a fraudulent.

So you can easily keep on watching for these patterns on your transactions to detect the suspicious affiliates. Then later, you can easily go to: For Merchant –> My Affiliates section and ban that affiliate from promoting your products.
I hope this answers your question on your to detect the suspicious affiliate activity. In case you have any more questions, please, let me know.

Selling downloads and ebooks

Toclarify:
If I register as a merchant, you will handle the storage and support for both my merchant website and affiliate websites?
I think that’s the case, but would like confirmation of the same.
Thanks!

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your questions and interest in Click2Sell.EU. We will handle all your product’s sales, we also provide the pre-made page for affiliates (you can find a link to it at: For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings) to signup. However, you should still have your own product’s sales page where to place your products order buttons, add descriptions and tools for affiliates. We will store your product on our secure servers and your customers will be able to buy them.

I hope this answers all your questions.

When I sell an affiliate product of click2sell in my blog, Who is responsible for transferring the commissions?. Click2sell? or the person owning the product? Thanks a Lot =)

Remove Paypal from my payment options

how do i redirect my sales to go through Money Bookers and not paypal
as paypal does not allow money transfers to my country South Africa
which renders money in their account useless to me

Hello Anthony,

thanks for contacting us!

Most of issues related to merchant accounts like PayPal or Moneybookers
can be solved in “My Payment Processors” page which can be found in “My
Profile” section.

There you can create or edit existing PayPal, Moneybookers, Google
Checkout, Worldpay, Authorize.net, eWay, LinkPoint, First Data, Your
Pay, Moneris, Protx, Optimal Payments or Ogone merchant accounts and
select which existing accounts will be used for receiving payments.

I already made necessary changes for you, but just for your information,
you needed to go to Step 2 at that page and remove “PayPal” account from
“PayPal” slot.
That’s all. From now you will receive payments only via Moneybookers.

If you have any other question, just let me know!

Using Pen names

I just signed up with you to sell my ebook. I have written it using a pen name. I want the buyers to see that pen name so I used that when I registered. Is that going to create problems dealing with PayPal which only knows my real name? Thanks for your help.

Dear Reuven,

Thank you for your questions and interest in Click2Sell.EU. It’s good to hear that you have placed your product on Click2Sell.EU. You can use your pen name wherever you want. It won’t create any problems with Paypal or anything. Actually, you can easily update your profile in: My Profile section on your members area. You can still have your real name/surname on Click2Sell.EU, just fill in the Business Name field with your pen name on that form and all your customers will see your Pen Name/Business name when buying a product, while we will be able to see your real name. One way or the other, you can have it as you like. It won’t create any negative issues.

I hope this answers all your questions. If you have any questions about Click2Sell.EU or just need some personal help, please, let me know. I will do my best to help you.

Sincerely,
