Calculation of Affiliate Commissions

Hi,

Firstly, I’d like to compliment you guys on a well managed merchant-affiliate network and great support. I just have 2 questions which I can’t seem to find an answer to in both the support faq and forum.

Question 1: Exactly how are the affiiliate commissions calculated? Are they taken into account before, or after the deduction of Click2Sell service fees? (e.g. If a product costs $10, what would be the exact affiliate commission to be paid?)

Question 2: For monthly subscription products, will the commissions be given every month, or just for the initial sale?

Thank you for your questions and all kind words about Click2Sell.EU. Now I would like to answer all your questions one by one to explain you better how everything works.
1) Affiliate commissions are calculated simply. If you sell a product for $10 and you offer 50% affiliate commissions, then you will have to pay $5 to affiliate. The fees are not taken into account here. You will have to pay fees separately. Simply affiliate commission percentage shows how much you will pay your affiliate.
2) Regarding monthly subscription products: if an affiliate refers you a long-term member who signs up on your subscription service and pays you monthly fees, the affiliate commission will be given to that affiliate as long as his/her referred member stays active on your subscription service – pays you money. For example, if you charge $10 every 30 days and offer $5 affiliate commissions, then your affiliate will receive $5 every 30 days as long as a referred member pays you money.

Promoting Click2Sell as an Affiliate

Is there a way where I can refer other people on the internet to become an affiliate of click2sell and earn a percentage of their commission? If so, how may I do this?

Yes, of course there is a way to refer new members to Click2Sell.EU. You can refer both merchants and affiliates and earn the commissions from their activities. We have Click2Sell.EU Referral program where you can get your referral link and refer new members. You can read more about the Referral program on this page: http://www.click2sell.eu/en/home/promote-click2sell.html
In order to get your own referral program link, just signup on Click2Sell.EU and then navigate to: Promote C2S section on your account’s members area. There you will be provided with your referral link: http://your-login.join.click2sell.eu , where your-login is your own login to Click2Sell.EU system.

How can i make a campaign?

Thank you for your questions and interest in Click2Sell.EU. The Reports section shows all the reports about your own and your affiliated products along with all their campaigns. If you are an affiliate and promote products online from Click2Sell.EU Marketplace, then you can find all your campaigns on: For Affiliates –> Promoted Products section. In order to all a new campaign, just go to the Marketplace, search for an interesting product and click on ‘Promote’ link to get your own affiliate links. Then a new campaign will be created and you will be able to promote that product. Enter an affiliate link yourself to see how it works or bring at least 1 visitor and this product’s campaign will appear on all your Reports and For Affiliates –> Promoted Products section.

Affiliate promotional tools location

And thanks for your offer to help. Right now I am completely confused.

I just finished setting up about 50 products – we have both digital and physical versions of most of them, and for the physical products I have to set up 2 of each – one with postage for the US, the other with postage to other countired, which is about 4 times more.

Some of the products I have set up some promotional tools – pictures (banners).

So now I figure it is time to go looking to see what the affiliates see. That is where I am lost.

I went to the marketplace and clicked on some products to promote. That takes me to a page in the Affiliate section where I can get the code for a button to link to the product page.

But that’s all. Where do I find the tools – the emails and banners and other items to use to promote that product?

The only two links in the For Affiliate section of your web site are that one that gives me the button code and nothing else, and one that takes me back to the marketplace.

The products I went to, I didn’t find any way to add them to the list of products I promote.

How does that work? We have many instructors all over the world and I want to get them to sell these products on their web sites, so I want to know how to direct them to the correct place.

I am setting up a web site that will list all of our products, with links to your site to get their Buy Now codes, etc.

One of our products that has some banners in the Tools section.

Anyway, can you guide me to a link that has the full information for our products. Then I will be able to set up links for all the other products.

Thank you for your e-mail. Now I would like to answer all your questions one by one and help you out setting up your products on Click2Sell.EU. The 1st question you asked was how to find e-mails, banners and other promotional content that you have provided for your affiliates. It’s very simple: just navigate to the marketplace, search for your product and click on the ‘More Info’ link to get more information about the product. There you will see Banners, E-mail letters, etc. links (red links) on that page. Please, click on them and you will see your banners and other promotional tools that you have provided. Currently we are changing this section to make it a bit easier to find for all people :)

Regarding the product’s addition to the list of ‘promoted products': when you click on ‘Promote’ link on the Marketplace to select and promote product online, you are automatically provided with all affiliate links. So you have to take them and start promoting your selected product. When you bring at least 1 visitor to your unique affiliate link, the product will be added to the list of your promoted products and you will be able to see it’s campaign in For Affiliate –> Promoted Products section.

So basically all you have to do now is just to place payment buttons on your products’ sales pages, add page for ‘Affiliates’ to signup (you can find your own pre-made page for affiliates in For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings section) and then start promoting it online.

How can I promote my affiliate program outside of your market place. Is there a link I can use to promote affiliates to my product sign up?

Thank you for your question on how to promote your affiliate program. So you have placed payment buttons and now want to signup affiliates on your website. Please, navigate to:
For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings (click on a product’s panel) and on this page you will find a link to your own pre-made page for ‘Affiliates’ to signup. Just place this link on your website and you will be able to signup affiliates for your product.

Basically, it’s very easy to tell your affiliates to promote your product:
1) Signup on Click2Sell.EU
2) Tell them to use a link to promote your product: http://affiliates-login.product-id.click2sell.eu
where affiliates-login is affiliate’s username which he/she selects when joins Click2Sell.EU
product-id – your unique product’s id assigned automatically by the system. It consists of your username + first 3 letters of your product’s name.

How do i put a tracking code in a URL so i can see which keywords are performing ?

Thank you for your questions and interest in Click2Sell.EU. In order to track keywords performance simply just use the provided affiliate links and start bringing traffic to them. Click2Sell.EU system will automatically determine which keywords are used to search, find and click on your affiliate link. All these keywords will be extracted and shown on the Keywords report on Click2Sell members area, so you don’t need any to use any special tracking code in an URL to track keywords.

How to use pay per click strategy to make affiliate sales

Thank you for taking the time to review my account, I thought sure I would get some sales from the two products with the higher ctr, but you are right, perhaps I need to refine my keyword list and try again. This PPC business is a tricky one and can get expensive in a hurry. I will look through your products and try a couple more. Thanks again!

Since you are trying to get the best results from pay per click campaigns, you must definitely refine your keyword lists. I have one interesting strategy and suggestion for you…
Select a product to promote and use only 1-3 keywords with [brackets] on pay per click campaigns to promote it.
For example: you select a product LCD Monitor repair from Click2Sell.EU marketplace.
Then you add a special campaign on your Adwords, Yahoo pcc marketing accounts and then provide only a few the most related keywords, for example:
[lcd monitor repair]
[monitor repair guide]
[repair lcd monitor]
etc.

Then for each of these keyword groups you create a special ad that has one or two of these keywords in them… I mean – very related.
Then you bid high for these keywords to get the highest exposure. Even though there are not much exact searches for these keywords, but your ad will be very very targeted and very related (because you use brackets). Then you might pay 1-2$ for a click, but this way you will get very huge click through rates and your ads will be placed on top of search results. Once you gain a good ctr, your bids will decrease, but you will still manage to remain on the same good positions.

This way you can make really good sales. I especially would like to pinpoint that here we concentrate on the targetted market, so even if you receive 10-20 clicks, it might easily result in a sale.

For Merchant –> My Products –> Edit Settings (click on a certain product’s panel) –>Add Tools and on this section you will be able to add all promotional banners and images. Affiliates will be able to find the banners on your product’s More Info page (this page can be reached from the Marketplace – link near your product’s information).

How to track sales on Click2Sell?

Thank you for your questions regarding sid to track sales. If you want to track your sales through different tracking channels, just visit:
For Merchant — My Products — Tracking Channels section (click on a certain product) and you will be able to create separate tracking channels for your product to track sales/visitors and all other data.
If you are an affiliate and want to track your affiliated product sales, just navigate to: For Affiliate — My Campaigns — Stats (click on a certain promoted product) and there you will be able to create your own
unique affiliate links with tracking ids to track all your sales, visitors, referral sources and much more.

Refund procedure

What is your policy and procedure for refund? Someone is asking for a refund.

Dear Eduardo,

The refund policy is very simple: it all depends on you. Since you receive payments straight to your account, you are the one to decide whether to refund the payment (or not).
If you want to refund your customer, simply just visit your Transaction report and search for that certain transaction/customer. Once you find it, please, click on the transaction and you will see the details and all transaction information. At the bottom of transaction information page you will see a button to ‘Refund’ the transaction. Please, click on it and the customer will be refunded automatically. Note: make sure you have your Paypal API credentials entered on Click2Sell.EU system, otherwise the refunds won’t work automatically and you will have to visit your Paypal account and search for that certain transaction to refund money. You can check if you have Paypal API entered (or enter that data if you haven’t done so) by navigating to: My Profile –> My Payment Processors –> Paypal section.
